Haven't seen it advertised.
Which sucks Coz I like the NHL_________________ "We were young, good-looking and stupid. Now, we're just stupid" - Mick Jagger, discussing the Stones in Exile documentary. |

Haha have a shit one. Papelbon blown save, shocking.
To be honest though, I really thought prior to this Series that the Red Sox would beat the Angels, I guess the Angels aren't as weak mentally as I thought.
Their ALCS match-up against the Yankees will be fantastic.
Also, the Dodgers swept the Cardinals and the Rockies and Phillies are at 1-1. Game 3 is on now. |

Can't believe Pap blew that hard. Never seen him throw such puss as he did this series. Sox need a bit of a shake up - offense is stinking it up, and the bullpen is not much better at the moment. |

Nah I think their pitching is OK, they still have Dice-K, Lester and Beckett as their three aces. But the hitting is definitely the problem, people like Lowell need to go, they need to do a Yankees of last season and spend real big. |

Yeah I was more thinking about the middle relief and closers being an issue - really needs a shake up. I agree with Lowell - club legend but when it's time it's time - there is a few others in the same basket too. |

| for the most part of the season the bull pen and middle relief have been what held the red sox together and got them into the playoffs, sure they had a few wobbles post the all star break but they still did well. papelbon has been walking this tight rope all season though. comes in, loads the bases or puts a couple men on, then strikes out the last one or two to get out of it. that is why his ERA and saves numbers were still relatively impressive, but it was bound to blow up in his face sooner or late. just a shame it happened when they needed him most. the starting pitching is shaping up ok for next season, providing dice-k comes back in shape which is sounds as if he has no option but to. beckett, lester, bucholz, matsuzaka is a solid top 4 in the rotation. as for 5? depends whether wakefield comes back, whether he can stay injury free if he can. i would personally like to see papelbon traded for a solid number 3ish starter. just someone we can depend on to put up innings throughout the year. also i would love for the team to bring back alex gonzalez, his defense is just amazing and while hes no star with the bat, he lifted his game since coming over from the reds mid season. bringing back jason bay is a must. no nonesense player who just goes out there and gets it done. it would kill me if he wound up with the yankees next year!! gota raise a question over mike lowell at 3rd base, while he swung the bat ok, he is just so slow around the bases and has lost alot of lateral movement defensively that while he has great hands, just might not be able to cut off enough balls to make him viable there at 3rd |

| in saying that im definately not putting the blame for the series loss on papelbon. i have been thinking he may be on his way out for awhile. its the bats that didnt show up. some production from the DH in the clutch would be nice. |
