Shit final to be honest Murray didnt handle the occassion at all and it had a little to do with the man standing at the other end but imo he didnt give a good account of himself and show what he is truely capable of.. Fed was very solid as usual he is the greatest of all time for a reason and once again he takes the slam..

Well, Roger Federer claims another Grand Slam, his 16th in total, and his fourth Australian Open.

It was a thoroughly deserved victory, he dominated the first two sets and while the 3rd was a much more even battle, I really feel Andy blew it in that 3rd Set Tie-Break blowing a 6-4 lead.

And on that Tie-Break, how brilliant was it? Some of the tennis was just unbelievable. That shot from Murray at 10-9 from the Federer drop shot was simply remarkable.

But really, it should never have gotten that far into the TB. Andy really should have out away that forehand at 6-4, and then the backhand volley at 6-5.

Anyway, well done to Roger Federer for winning the 2010 Australian Open, and also, must give my man Igor Andreev some props, as he gave Roger the toughest match.

Unfortunately I got the Tie-Break score completely wrong... But still it's a bit spooky to say the least... But that will be my only claim to fame in 100 years.

Abit of good tennis in the 1st and 3rd hardly makes a great final and yeah i would call it pretty average.. Maybe its just because we have been spoiled of late will the Fed/Nadal epics but still.. Like you said if murray went for his shots it would have made great viewing but i guess the big stage gets to some players (probably everyone besides fed) and like i said earlier he just couldnt get into the game and the occassion got to him.

Federer needs 3 more titles, to have a 100% debateable record as the worlds best player.. only needs 3 more titles to surpass Pete Sampras who finished with 64, Federer is currently on 62.

I thought it was pretty good tbh, I guess I was just expecting the Murray of the QFs to come out and play, that woulda been an epic Final. But still I thought it was a very good game.
That TB was unbelievable though! Murray really should have won it though but oh well. Roger was way too good on the night, tbh I didnt think Murray played that badly, just not good enough for the magician.

Congrats Roger Federer. Throughouly deserved Grand Slam number 16.

He was all over Murray in the first two sets. Murray should have won the third but blew some opportunities and then the Fed Express won an epic tiebreak that included some amazing tennis.
