I think this deserves its own thread seeing as its the first ever proper derby weve had in the A-league and seeing as its the only game on this weekend. Plus I was bored, so yeah .

Both teams have been in scratchy form to begin the season with and will both be looking to really kickstart their season's with a victory in their biggest game of the season so far. Its been delayed by a week making the buildup even more frenzied and im hoping for the sake of the league and for the game that we can have a huge crowd down there.
I'll be cheering for the Heart but I think the Victory will get up here, 2-1. Hernandez to fire them into the lead early with Terra to equalise just after the break. Who else but Muscat to score a late penalty to seal the points.
Looking forward to it, should be alot of fun.

I can not wait. You were right - this deserves its own thread. All the sledge and hatred between both sets of fans will finally be settled here. What better way to have the Melbourne Derby played as the only a-league match of the weekend. I think we will get the result here, and convincingly. Hear have not impressed me at all where as we are a great team yet to be unleashed. I feel this is the time the boys will step up in front of a sell out crown. 4-1

It would have just been myself posting anyway, so why post.

Atmosphere was the best i've ever been in. Almost every victory supporter on their feet the entire game. Pissed off that we played like fucktards and well deserved to be beaten.

Good game last night, Heart played some really nice football and had some nice attacking flows. That big Sibon is some player, has the best touch ive seen. Was also impressed with Bajic (sp?) left back that got sent off

We were pretty poor, we really lacked creativity, Ricardinho was no where to be seen and Hernandez was just plumping around the ground doing nothing, really need Archie back gives us that much more.

just under 26000 for the attendence, there were a couple of empty seats. Atmosphere was up and down, brilliant at times but then nothing at others

Nah i was in corporate, with Dukes! haha, But as you said I probably would have loved it if I were with the Victory supporters, I just thought that it got quiet through stages of the game.
