| Thought I'd make this, so we can share our favourite sporting moments. Post videos of your favourite, most memorable sporting moments here...whether they be from your team or not. Here are some of the most memorable moments in my sport-supporting life:
Best. Golfing. Moment. Ever. My favourite golfer, and that is the best shot I have ever seen. Ever. How he read that was amazing. And the tension of it sums it up. It is freaking amazing, I remember watching it at home when it happened. "Well here it comes...Oh my goodness...OOHHH WOW! IN YOUR LIFE HAVE YOU EVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT!"
The Sydney Test against India. Surrounded by so much controversy, Australia needed 3 wickets to win with two overs left when Michael Clarke stepped up to bowl. In that over, he bagged three wickets in five balls to win the match. The wicket in this video is the match-winning wicket. Those 3 were his first 3 wickets on Australian soil. I remember where I was when it happened and I went nuts. So nerve-wracking, and such a famous win, and felt soo good after all the crap that went on between the Indian and Australian teams throughout the summer.
Steve Waugh had his back against the wall after some poor performances. He came into this Test needing a big score. In the last ball of the day, he hit a boundary to reach his century, equal the then Australian record for Test centuries, and save his career. I remember this clearly, that such an amazing occasion.
Yes, I had to. Best moment in my football-supporting life. We made the World Cup after 32 long years and plenty of heartbreaking playoffs. This was the biggest moment in Australian football, everyone in Australia was so proud of it. And then we went to Germany and proved we could match it with the best. John knocked this in, and sent his nation into raptures. This was the re-birth of Australian football.
My most recent video out of this lot. Finally winning the EPL after 3 long years of Man United dominance. The fact that we won so easily made it even better, we slotted in goals for fun all season finishing with over 100 goals for the season, and then clinched the FA Cup to join our league title. And the fact that it was Ancelotti's first year in charge was even better on top of that.
I remember sitting there at the SCG, the atmosphere was great, but so nerve-wracking. Nick Davis had just scored 3 goals in a row to get us back into it and, when he scored that, the whole crowd went off. The most electric atmosphere I've ever experienced at any event live. It was incredible. Everyone went off, it meant so much to the club, as you will see below...
Our first flag in 72 years. And this was the last minute. The match was full of highs and lows. But Leo Barry popped up with that mark and we won the grand final, and we all went nuts. Incredible. |
