| Whats the point of that? Chat will die down after about 2 weeks (even less) so than just delete it after that. Unless your worried about losing posts _________________ Bird is the word.....

Pretty much everyone has said it's a good idea...
Why do you still come here if all you do is complain about the forum? |

Umm your post count is still the same whether the forum is still there or not. If not, I would've lost a couple thousand posts when FWBL was deleted.
It's just if we need the threads, it's to do with football and it makes sense to put it in the football section, it also gives more posts to the football section._________________ The future is bright, the future is blue and white.

I'm not complaining. I come here to discuss Xpert 11 League. Is that a problem boss? _________________ I heart Tiki-Taka.

| Seeing as it's less than two months away, should we start thinking about what we should do for the World Cup subforum? Obviously it doesn't have to be put up for another couple of weeks, but I'm heaps excited for the Cup and can't wait to discuss it haha.
I've been re-thinking this and I reckon we should have a subforum in football, and then have a designated thread for each group. And then simply have threads for injuries, general news, standings, fixtures/results, etc. Works well and is easy to access everything. _________________ The future is bright, the future is blue and white.

You make some valid points Sibs. Good work.
I also cannot wait for the World Cup, definitely watching EVERY game, I think I'll buy a couple of slabs work of Mother for cheap from RR before the World Cup starts. There will be many sleepless night.
On topic, it definitely deserves it's own Sub-Forum, there's no denying that. I think eight threads for each of the Groups, instead of 48 match threads for the 48 matches of the Group Stages, otherwise it'll be too clogged. Then when we get to the Knockout Stages, obviously have individual match threads.
Then we could have a pre-World Cup thread with injuries, team news etc.
Also, when the World Cup is on, have a general thread for World Cup news, another for injuries and pretty much go from their. |

| Seperate board with 1 "Matchday"-like sub-forum.
The main board to be used to discuss injuries, who's playing well, who isn't, potential knockout round match-ups and just general discussion.
Then just the match threads in the "matchday" sub-forum and so it doesn't look messy just name them something like "Group A: South Africa v Mexico" or "Group C: England v United States" etc. and don't post all the match threads at once. Just whatever matches are on that night make the thread that day.
If that makes sense it should be pretty simple without 500 different sub-forums.
Get it up ASAP imo, wouldn't hurt. |

| Agree with Shoot. For the group games just have one thread, otherwise some games may get skipped. But the knockout matches deserve their own threads IMO. I know Uni will be taking a back seat over the duration of the World Cup, I plan on watching as much as possible _________________ 1931 - 1933 - 1934 - 1935 - 1938 - 1948 - 1953 - 1971 - 1989 - 1991 - 1998 - 2002 - 2004 ARSENAL FC

I'm going to watch EVERY game, make no mistake about it.
I still think have Group threads as well for the Group Stages instead of one big thread. |

I like that part, but I don't think it's necessary to have a separate thread for each game, some games will get very little chat but some might get heaps (specifically Australia, New Zealand and England games).
I like the matchday subforum idea, but have one thread for each group. Or maybe something like 'Matchday 1 - Group A' 'Matchday 2 - Group A' etc.
I suppose the most popular teams (Australia/New Zealand/England) could get their own threads though, seeing as that'll get heaps of posts.
But yes, please get it up ASAP, can't wait to discuss it! We could have a general news thread for each group as well possibly. Sorry, just throwing in heaps of ideas to make it organised yet effective.
As for the games, I'm aiming to watch every 10:30pm and 4:30am game. Gives me 4 hours of sleep which should be just enough to cope with a day of school. Of course I'll watch games in the 12:30pm timeslot though, if it's a big one._________________ The future is bright, the future is blue and white.

| All I'll say to people who are supposedly true football fans, anyone that doesn't watch at least 50 games at the World Cup is a joke. It's really not that hard. |

| I'll probably just watch the Aussie games. I don't mind the odd game of soccer, but I'm not a huge fan. Plus, I enjoy being a bandwagoner come World Cup time Just thought I'd throw that out there I know it's off topic though, so, carry on! _________________ "We were young, good-looking and stupid. | Yeah I was thinking something along the lines of having one thread per Group where u can discuss each group game and then each game after that will be deserving of its own thread. Bring it the F*** on . Planning to watch every England and Australia game at the pub haha, should be awesome! Then each other game to be watched from the sofa with lotsa caffeine . _________________ '71 WHL '89 Anfield '02 OT '04 WHL AFC.
