PostSubject: Matchday Threads 2010   Sun Jan 10, 2010 12:47 pm

I know we didn't have any problms when making match threads last season but maybe to help make it more organised we could use this thread where you can volunteer/put your hand up to make a particular rounds match threads or maybe just have it so everyone makes a match thread for one of the eight games played in the round.

For example;
Round 1 threads - Fiji Bati
Round 2 threads - Panthers
Round 3 threads - Caity

or

Round 1
Tigers v Knights - Fiji Bati
Warriors v Bulldogs - Hendo
Broncos v Raiders - Caity

and so on..

I noticed while browing on TAE they have some nice 'NRL Buttons' which hopefully they don't mind if they were used while making match threads here..

Here are the NRL buttons from TAE, special mention to collingwood who made them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically this is how I'd have a matchday thread set out;

VS

Where the match is being played -
Time and Date -

Preview of the match:
(maybe 8-10 sentences)

Last time they met:
(Score last time they met)

Probable lineup of each team:

Betting odds:

Not a bad idea mate, might keep this section a bit tidier then what it was last year

Since we are sticking to the single thread for round 1, what do you think the best way of putting matches up this season would be? All in the one thread or separate threads for each match? I would prefer separate threads for each match, but I'm not sure what everyone else thinks.

Also, I have plenty of time on my hands so I will be able to put up match threads every few weeks. Smile

Im happy to do it how we had them last yr. Also dont mind the single thread coz lets be honest theres not going to be alot of chat for a Monday Night game involving Canberra and NZ (for example).

If we do the single match threads though id put my hands up to create them again like last yr Smile

excuse me, but I think you'll find the Warriors have just about as many fans on this forum as any of the other teams. There will be plenty of Warriors match day banter. Poor example Very Happy

I'm happy to help out and do some threads.

I prefer seprate threads for each match in the round.

I'll make sure TAE don't mind us using them also.

Maybe we should get some consistency with the titles of each thread, just to make it stand out more and look more organised. For example:

Round 1 - Bulldogs vs Knights
Round 1 - Eels vs Dragons

etc etc

I'm prepared to do it as I have the powers to change titles.
