Spain v South Africa

Head-to-head

- The two sides have met only twice before. Spain won 3-2 during the group stage of the 2002 World Cup. Two goals from Raul and a strike from ex-Middlesbrough midfielder Gaizka Mendieta won the game for Spain. Benni McCarthy and Lucas Radebe replied for South Africa.

- The European champions also won 2-0 just eight days ago in the group stage of the Confederations Cup. David Villa and Fernando Llorente were the men on target.

Im probably looking forward to this clash more than the final to be honest.. Spain should really get up, alot of class but thats exactly what everyone said against the U.S.. I can sense an upset but im going to go with the Spainiards 2-1

WHAT a match!!!!! or ending at least, the whole match lacked a bit of flair but the closing minutes were amazing, then Xabi Alonsos free kick in E.T was pretty good.

Teko Modise has to move abroad this window his had a great tornament, as did Khune the goal keeper

i really think Spain's (i dunno what to call it experience perhaps) quality players and skill really came through when it counted
