This match, on paper, shows that Wellington will beat Newcastle. A sold out Westpac stadium will be buzzing to see their team make their first preliminary final and this, in itself, should be enough to get the Phoenix over the line. Newcastle though, won't go down without a fight and it could turn out to be a tight contest. I think Wellington will surely be to strong and win 3-1.

Simply, I can not wait for this match. After Sydney beat us in the last round of the season, all I have though about is exacting revenge on them. Melbourne are in a good position to go through to the grand final after gaining a 2-1 advantage at Etihad. It will not be easy though, Sydney are more than capable of getting a goal or two at home and with no recognized striker likely to play for the victory this week, it looks like this will go down to the wire. I hope the boys can win and give me a good birthday present and I think they will. I am tipping the narrowest of wins, 1-0 to Melbourne.

The big game is Sydney v Melbourne obviously and I'm going with a 1-0 win, I cannot see Melbourne winning at our home. They might be able to snatch a draw but.

Although we have an awesome record at home with about 5 players playing right now on the other side of the world and coming back tomorrow they will not be in peak condition on Sunday.

Should be a cracking Sunday afternoon of football with a nice warm up game over in Wellington. Ill say the Nix to send their 35k capactiy crowd into delirium by winning 2-0. Goals to Ifill and Tum Brown.

Then the main event, should be an absolute ripper at the SFS. Hopefully another sell out! Ill be cheering for the Victory all the way here and I think theyll be able to snatch a draw. Muscat from the spot for Melbourne and Aloisi for Sydney.

C'mon Melbourne! Absolutely pumped for the match! Might not be able to watch it though. Not feeling too confident of going straight through to the final. 2-1 at home is not good enough against Sydney in my opinion.

Even if Archie and Kruse do play, you'd assume they wouldn't be 100%. I think Sydney will be too good at home winning 1-0. Melbourne had a good win against them a couple of weeks ago, but apart from that Sydney have had the wood on the Victory all season. I wouldn't be surprised to see Melbourne win though, they do have a knack of winning when there not expected to.

I think Wellington will beat Newcastle in normal time. Like s06 said, the sellout crowd should be enough to get them over the line. I just cant see Wellinton letting an opportunity like this slip. I'll say 2-1 to the Nix.
