| That was really, really painful. We gave it our all and that was shown with half of our players pulling up with cramps at the end. Clint Bolton was AMAZING. If it weren't for him we would've lost 5-2 instead of a 2-2 draw. Of course it'd take a sneaky goal to win it, smart play by Melbourne but it just hurts...especially considering it wasn't a good goal, or a breakaway or anything, but just a sneaky little goal to win it. The commentators' were adding insult to injury as they continuously talked about how Melbourne were going to win after Archie scored, and of course the man himself had to say "people only remember who the grand final winners are" in his post game interview. I'm happy with how we played, but atm it means nothing...this just really stinks right now. Hopefully we can get up and defeat the on-fire Phoenix next week. I'm disappointed we're gonna have to defeat them to get through, because I wanted to see them in the big one. Hopefully it's not to be (for them). _________________ The future is bright, the future is blue and white.

| Awesome day of football . Firstly congrats to Wellington, they were awesome earlier and fully deserved the win. Didnt know Nicklas Bendtner had a twin in the form of Paul Ifill though, howd he miss some of those chances?! . Oh well, fully deserved for the Nux. As for the main one, what a game! Kruses goal was fantastic, well taken pk by Carol and a very nice 2nd goal for Sydney. It was coming though for me, Melbourne were looking the more likely to score and when they did I let out a big GGGGOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL . The only downside about the goal was that Muscat was involved so we are going to have to hear about how good he is for the next week when really hes a dirty mongrel. Congrats to Melbourne though, next weekend should be a good game too. I think Sydney will go into it as favourites but the Nux have had a couple of wins at the SFS over the last couple of seasons and I can see them maybe nicking it. _________________ '71 WHL '89 Anfield '02 OT '04 WHL AFC.

| Sydney V 'Nix should be a great game. Although Sydney have beaten us all 3 games so far this year I feel we have a great shot at winning. We are in a real purple patch atm and we have started converting the draws we used to always get into wins. Can't wait until the game comes round. I know I will be fully behind the boys. COME ON NIX!!! _________________ 2010 All Whites = LEGENDARY |

| Melbourne are the Manchester United of the A-League. I'm fucking sick of seeing them win all the time. Anyway it was a pretty entertaining game to watch, plenty of goals and chances at both ends of the ground. Kruse's goal was brilliant, he's scored some real belters this season. Credit to him as well, I dont think many people would of expected him to have this good a season when he signed for Melbourne. |

| What a fucking win get in there!!!! We deserved it. If we could fkn finish it could have been 7. Sydney were lucky to take it to E.T for mine. That penalty call was B.S anmd poor defending for the Bridge goal. What a hit from Kruse, has been a great signing this season well done to him. Archie really changed the game when he came on, such a great player. Absolutely loved the goal Muscat to Thompson from a quick free kick, not the first time its happened. Brilliant stuff. And that fucking linesman that called offside when Archie was clear through needs to get he's eyes checked, could have cost us derely (although Thompson did have to finish)
Now to get tickets for the Grand Final. _________________ Bird is the word.....

Yeah. Franky dropped him for being a prick during the offseason. He got in a heap of fights in the valley when out and about and for being an arrogant prick. _________________ '71 WHL '89 Anfield '02 OT '04 WHL AFC.

| Here's something interesting from the match report:
But the Victory's win came in controversial circumstances, with Thompson's goal coming from a quickly taken Kevin Muscat free-kick that perhaps should not have been awarded.
Referee Stebre Delovski penalised Sydney's Terry McFlynn for handball just outside the box, but replays showed the ball came off the midfielder's head.
Muscat quickly took the ensuing free kick and played it into Thompson's path for an easy finish.
This is what Sydney captain John Aloisi had to say:
"It's disappointing because speaking to the players ... they said it wasn't a free kick,'' Sydney FC captain John Aloisi said.
"And it was a bit disappointing because we've spoken before about how they play quick free kicks and we should make sure we're switched on.''
Going by that it seems like it shouldn't have been a free kick. Personally i didn't watch the match, but now Sydney will be thinking what if that was never given. They now need to focus on the game against the 'Nix and they need to put this result behind them. _________________ 5 IN A ROW!"You got a door, you got a gym" |
