| It would be very hard for him to be 'as good as last year'. He will be one of the best players this year but not quite as good as last year. _________________ 2010 All Whites = LEGENDARY |

that was because he was on the bench he dosent show his impact off the bench and anyways deucey back to the topic you said that hayne wont go well because of 5 games well iMO he will do great as he did in 2010 |

| If I was an Eels fan (and thank god I'm not) I'd be worried about that Sternum injury he is carrying. If He gets a good solid hit in that region that could be his season over.. It' not any easy injury to play through the pain with as it's prob one of the more painful injuries you could ever have and takes forever to heal. Gasnier missed most of the season a few years back, and Asotasi missed the world cup with his.. But If he does play the whole season then he'll definitely still be YOUR best player on the field, but I doubt He'll have as much impact as last year. _________________ South Sydney Rabbitohs

No he wasn't...I am talking about Charity Shield not All-Stars.
Hayne is a flash in the pan player, simply doesn't posess the class Slater has in terms of keeping going with good form. and his pattern of "good football isn't that great".
2006 was his rookie year, he did good...2007 and 2008 both he and Krisnan Inu were both nothing like their potential...2009 he was great....
Just look at Slater, I can't remember him having a single off year, and he has been in first grade alot longer then Hayne.
I have grave doubts that Hayne will even come in reach of his 2009 shadow, I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if he has a very very quiet year in truth._________________ |

soward won 5/8 of the year but i dont think he will be as good as last year and im a dragons supporter. |

| Rozza obviously on his period.
Anyway, was Hayne actually that great last year?? As far as I saw there were a few moments of brilliance (or maybe flukes) that he pulled off but didn't do much else. Like in the Grand Final he was up to fuk all. So yea I reckon he'll be as good as he was last year, there just won't be the same hype surrounding him so it won't get recognised as much. _________________ |

Hes had the NSW FB spot since September last season imo. The Blues selectors are stupd like like that . Even if someone else is playing better theyll pick him lol. No I dont think he'll be able to play like he did from rounds 18-Preliminary Final ever again. Like Cristiano Ronaldo in the EPL, he had that one season of scoring 42 goals and since then hes been good but hes never reached those heights again. _________________ '71 WHL '89 Anfield '02 OT '04 WHL AFC.

| yeah he'll be as good but the defence will improve on him and smash him . While i'm here it's pretty funny that he could have put Slater under the Posts in the 4 nations final but went the risky kick ahead for Inglis god he must hate Slater. _________________ Ref Rage is a new word |

| When you say last year, he is definately capable of playing better, since last year had its highs and lows. It was really only the second half of the season that he put himself among the best in the league and was able to take control of a game. During the first half the year he was mixed around from 5/8th and centre which proved his best position was fullback. He started the season off with some terrible games, most notably the Bulldogs game which was probably the worst game of his career where his defensive reads were horrific. Wether he will be able to play like he did in the second half for a whole year, I don't think so. As R&G said, the sternum injury will be weighing him down for the whole year, which will no doubt hit him as the season wears on. Add in the pressure and hype with the tags on him being the 'most influential player in the game'. I think this season will be a hard one mentally for him. He has already cemented his spot in Origin and Australia and I can see the exact oppositte type of year for Hayne than it was in 09. Start off great, slow down towards the end. _________________ Roy Asotasi, Luke Stuart, Issac Luke, Eddy Pettybourne, Dave Taylor, Ben Ross, Michael Crocker, Sam Burgess, Scott Geddes - Feeling scared?

| What is with all the "How do you know" posts in here? It is a thread to give your opinion, something you think, not something you know. None of us can know if he will be as good as last year, we just all have opinions on if we think he will be or not. For me, I think he will do good and at times show the brilliant form he showed last year. I don't see him doing it for the whole year, but I do expect him to still play some very good football. _________________ ---If Your Not Making Mistakes Your Not Trying Hard Enough-- ~Floreat Pica~ |
