Lockyer was going to take a massive paycut for Hunt to stay and probably still will when he leaves, Lockyer wants to pay back the club as he has said many times, what do you want us to do? Say no we don't need you anymore.. :S Lockyer re-signing had nothing to do with Hunt not being able to stay.. Hunt just doesn't want to and would 'love to travel with his girlfriend' as he seems to feel he has been in Brisbane for too long.

I still don't see any adequate reasoning as to why they are keeping Lockyer over Karmichael Hunt?, Lockyer has been at the club for 14 years and has had a great career but is clearly past his best and is really only selected for Queensland & Australian on Reputation. He is 17th in Try Assists for this year in the halves alone.

Karmichael Hunt considering he isn't a half is equal 4th in Try-Assists overall. He has also made 12 line-break assists & 10 line-breaks. Statistically the best fullback in the competition by a country mile. The next best is Presto who is something like 19th in Try Assists.

Karmichael Hunt based on form alone would be a more than adequate replacement for the current status of Darren Lockyer's game.

It's a woeful decision that even I can't understand. I would be handing in my membership if I was a broncos fan and asking for a refund.

If it's a loyalty trait, Karmichael Hunt has been a Bronco for 6 years and he is only 22.

It's nothing to do with the Broncos, HE wants out.

Damn, it's now confirmed that Penrith's centre Geoff Daniela has signed a 2-year-deal with the Tigers starting in 2010.

We are chasing a prop-forward for next year, apparently he has won a premiership really recently.

Please not Joel Clinton! Please not Joel Clinton! Please not Joel Clinton!

South Sydney captain Roy Asotasi has signed a new contract that will keep him with the NRL club until 2013.Asotasi
has agreed to an extra two years on top the original five-year deal he
signed with the club after he joined from the Bulldogs in 2006."Roy
Asotasi has been one of the driving forces of our side over the past
three years and we're delighted to have him commit to the club until
the end of 2013," Rabbitohs CEO Shane Richardson said."Roy is one of the best, if not the number one, prop forward in the game."He carries us forward each and every week and is one of the leaders of not only the team, but the club as well."

The Warriors have confirmed their risky signing of NRL bad boy Brett Seymour with the former Brisbane and Cronulla playmaker joining the New Zealand club for the 2010 season with an option to extend his stay to 2011.
His signing comes as the Warriors get set to lose veteran half Stacey Jones.
