Hi guys I’ve got some big news for fantasy footy lovers. Over the past year I’ve spent a lot of time and effort to create a new Fantasy AFL game with features that have never been seen or done before.

This is the first game to offer Category based scoring with Draft style leagues, which makes for the most strategic league based play available. What’s more you can participate in truly Live Online Drafts thanks to our flash based interface that delivers the picks as they happen to your screen. If you’ve ever played American fantasy sports you may be familer with these concepts but it’s a first for Aussie Rules.

Category based scoring breaks away from the fantasy point systems that all the current Fantasy AFL games use. No more magic formulas to determine a players score, in this game you go head to head with your opposition to outscore them across our nine different stat categories. This way you can play the way you want to play, high possession, high scoring or in and under, its up to you. Whoever top scores in the most categories wins the match.

The categories we use are Kicks, Handballs, Marks, Hitouts, Tackles, Free Kicks For, Free Kicks Against, Score and Goal Kicking Accuracy. That’s right now you don’t only want forwards who pile on the goals, you want ones that can convert efficiently! More details on the scoring can be found in our game walkthrough.

Our drafts have been designed to take 1-2 hours, not 1-2 weeks! With 1 minute per pick you feel the pressure and excitement of real AFL coaches on draft day. This is made possible our unique Flash interface that delivers the picks to your screen live as the clock ticks down. There are also Autopick and Offline Draft types available, allowing you to set pre draft rankings and hope for the best or run your draft externally and submit the results later.

After the draft you can sign, delist and trade players in our fully automated system. And what game wouldn’t be complete without a little trash talk, so you can speak out in the commentary box.
